The GSTC2026 Global Sustainable Tourism Conference will take place in Phuket, Thailand, from 21st to 24th April. This year’s summit will bring together sustainability leaders, tourism professionals, and industry stakeholders from around the world.
The conference will serve as a platform for insightful discussions, hands-on training, and networking opportunities aimed at advancing sustainability practices in tourism worldwide, according to the GSTC.
The 3-day conference at the Royal Phuket City Hotel as the main venue will focus on three core themes: Sustainable Hospitality, Resilient Cities & Communities and Carrying Capacity & Visitor Distribution Management.
Alongside the main conference program, the conference will be offering a range of Pre-conference Sustainable Tourism Trainings and the 4th edition of the Academic Symposium: both great opportunities to dive deeper into important conversations and practical skills for advancing sustainability in tourism.
The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) only recently participated in ITB Berlin in March 2026, in Berlin, Germany. As one of the world’s leading travel trade shows, ITB Berlin once again provided an important meeting point for tourism stakeholders from across the globe.
This year, GSTC for the first time welcomed visitors to its dedicated exhibition area in Hall 4.1, within the Responsible Tourism section. The team engaged with industry professionals, partners, and other stakeholders throughout the event.
