Neuseeland: Neue Herr der Ringe-Filme mit Gollum als Star=Regisseur

Neuseeland wird wieder Mittelerde: Zwei neue “Der Herr der Ringe”-Filme sollen in Aotearoa gedreht werden. Dies meldet die Nachrichtenagentur CNN als Eigentümer des amerikanischen Film-Verlags Warner Bros. Discovery.

Der neuseeländische Erfolgsregisseur Peter Jackson, der für die gleichnamige, milliardenschwere und mehrfach mit Oscars preisgekrönte Original=Filmtrilogie verantwortlich zeichnete, führt dieses Mal jedoch nicht Regie. Gollum-Darsteller “Mein Schatz” Andy Serkis soll die Filmdirektion übernehmen. Serkis war bereits in Jackson’s Folge-Filmen “Der Hobbit” als Zweit-Regisseur involviert.

Der erste der beiden neuen, epischen Abenteuer sei mit “Der Herr der Ringe – Die Jagd auf Gollum” tituliert, so CNN. Jackson und das bewährte Film-Team Fran Walsh und Philippa Boyen sollen das Script liefern. Inhaltlich werden weitere Geschichten des Schriftstellers J. R. R. Tolkien interpretiert. Die neuen Streifen aus Mittelerde sollen von Warner Bros. Pictures und New Line Cinema produziert und weltweit veröffentlicht werden. Charakter, Darsteller, Produktions- oder Kinostarts sind noch nicht bekannt. (NN 10-05-24)
